University of London — Celebrating Justice Defenders' Law Graduates

The University of London has highlighted the incredible achievements attained in partnership with Justice Defenders. In November 2024, 47 prisoners and prison officers across Kenya and Uganda earned their LLB degrees, overcoming immense challenges to transform their lives and communities. The graduation ceremonies celebrated a decade of partnership between Justice Defenders and the University of London. These graduates, many with lived experiences of incarceration, are breaking barriers and reshaping justice systems, proving that education can thrive in even the most unlikely places.
